Conference opens with notes on drought and prices
At the twenty fourth annual conference in Melbourne Mr A E B Dalton of Gunbower president opened remarks recalling a Wasom passed and hopeful signs of good seasons. He cited high prices and war conditions slowing progress and noted embargoes and price stations hampering butter factories. Supervisors did good work but more visits were needed to underperforming plants. The Cream Grading Bill remained stalled but hope persisted for action during the war.
