Melbourne Live Stock Market Amid Slow Buyer’s Tides

The Melbourne live stock market shows a dull tone with buyers favored as heavy weights and primes are cheaper. Cattle from New South Wales and other districts dominate, with prices for prime pens of cattle, cows, and calves sliding versus last week. At Ballarat and nearby markets, fat cattle and vealers trend lower while crossbred wethers and ewes vary, and the supply mix includes station-bred bulls and mixed stock.
