Grain Growers movement reshapes Canadian farming economy

The Round Table outlines the Grain Growers movement in Western Canada as a threefold force: a revolt against individual scramble in new communities, a new social economic factor through cooperation, and potential broad political influence. It traces era real estate booms, farmer isolation, and rising grain prices before cooperative firms and stores expand, aiming to centralize marketing, supply networks, and manufacturing at railway depots in Winnipeg and elsewhere.
