Opening of Western Plains Co operative Society store at Cressy

Correspondent reports the opening of the Western Plains Farmer's Co operative Society store at Cressy last week with a large turnout of shareholders and friends. The ceremony honored several trusts including the Parliaments Municipal Councils Agricultural and Pastoral Industries and Co operation. Speakers included Rev E M Baird Mr Dateman Crs Barnard and Bath Mr R P Mechan and others. The building was declared open by Mr Gate Sydenham of Colac amid praise for the cooperative's progress and future work. A district school excursion was noted and a local farewell service occurred. The latter portion contains an unrelated advertisement for Doan's Ointment addressing piles and eczema with testimonials.
