In a letter to the editor Mr E S Firewood of Coffs Harbour urges forming an independent Poultry Club for breeders and exhibitors. He notes local breeders favor self management, with support for the Show Society, and invites interested breeders to register names for a meeting.
Centenary celebrations at Crossmaglen school feature a Back to School day with all ages joining. The day includes community singing, a play titled Squeaker The Prince and the Apple, marbles games, and a large cast led by teachers and pupils.
Enid Mary Molly Nelson wed Kenneth Douglass Latham on April 3 at St Johns Church of England Coffs Harbour. The bride wore a white lace gown with orange blossom veil, attended by nieces and cousins, as 150 guests watched the ceremony and reception. The couple will reside at North Reach after a honeymoon at Wagga Wagga.
