Coffs Scouts Hold First Xmas Party Demonstrating Growth
The Coffs Harbour Troops and Cubs celebrated their first Xmas party at the Parish Hall with Rev. W. E. Dorin in attendance. Demonstrations of first aid and knot tying impressed parents and friends as leaders outlined Scout expansion and future needs including a camping tent and a new Scouts Hall.

Twelve stalls each operated separately raised over £1000 for various funds. Memorial Club led with £160, RSL £140, Catholic Ladies £100, Ambulance £90, Legion £80. RSI highlighted bananas from Coffs Harbour drawing many visitors. Prizes included best bunch won by Tom Larcombe with 1033 lb bunch. best three hands to A. Fowler. Numerous raffles recorded with many winners across multiple items.
