Rector Church News Highlights Parish Activities And Loss
The final musical evening drew a smaller crowd but offered an excellent program with Mesdames Winn Fowler and Misses Guinn Hudson Hawke and Youngman among performers. Mrs J Reedy introduced candidates for GFS initiation and L Pollett led as banner bearer. The parish noted Mrs C J Matten’s death and extended sympathy. Sawtell Guild hosted a successful garden party. Anglican children in Sawtell begin Sept 5 at Mrs G Johnston’s home under supervision. Dips Stall hosted another social. Learn to Dance and Fellowship meetings occurred in the Parish Hall. Archdeacon Wart arranged for Rev D F Clout to relieve, with town services led by Mr Clout and an open-air sermon at the church site near Mr Gillim’s.
