Church of England notices list service times on April 23 7 am 10 am and 7 30 pm at St John s St Aidan s Park Beach Bonville Sawtell and Chil dren children services. Anzac day April 25 includes John s 7 am and St Aidan s 8 am.
The Catholic Church lists mass times for the coast region. Coffs Harbour offers 7 am and 9 am and 7 30 pm services, Sawtell 7 am, Woolgoolga 8 30 am, announced by Rev Fr Smith.

At Sunnyside Coffs Harbour a son was born to Mr and Mrs Bert Franklin on 19 April both well.

The Sawtell resident Ada Alice Wood wife of L H Wood died recently. She lived in Sawtell about four years and made many friends. The funeral was held at the C of E portion of Coffs cemetery with Archdeacon O N Manny officiating. Arrangements were by C H Everingham & Co.

Residents at Nana Glen suffer frequent disruption during floods as approaches remain four feet under water even when decking is visible. The Nana Glen P and O Association asked the council to raise approaches to deck level so the bridge can be used once floodwaters recede. Council told Engineer F Dodd to inspect and report back at the next meeting.

Consumers in Sawtell and rural Boambee Bonville affected by power shutdown from 1 PM to 4 PM on Sunday 23 April 1950 for urgent maintenance work. County Clerk Chas M Seymour directs the outage and notifies residents.
