Tragic Tractor Crash Kills Cobram Man Francis McCluskey

In Cobram district 26 year old Francis Michael McCluskey died instantly when a tractor with a cultivator overturned after an apparent snag with a bridge on the Katamatite road. Passenger Joseph Donohoe escaped unharmed. McCluskey leaves two widows and a young son. funeral drew a large crowd from Scots Church to Cobram cemetery.

Driver’s Licence Cancelled After Court Conviction

Peter William Cain faced the Court of Petty in Cobram for driving under the influence on August 22. He was convicted and fined £5 with £2 13s 6d costs, and his licence was canceled. The magistrate commended witnesses for their public-spirited testimony.
