The second son of Mr and Mrs A Rowe of Cobram passed away Sunday in Bruce Rock Western Australia at one month old The family signs the notice Forever in our memory from Mum Dad and brother Billy.

The Barooga and District Schools Sports Association will stage its annual inter-school events on Friday at the Barooga sports ground. Students from Boomanoomana, Boomanoomana South, Roogs, Lalaly and Muckatah compete in forty four events from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a grand parade. Trophies include the Glenfield Challenge Cup Allen Cup and Scott Cup.
A farewell gathering at the fire brigade hall sent Miss Mary Mulcahy off to Melbourne to begin nursing duties at St. Vincent's Hospital. Guests enjoyed games with valuable prizes, a sumptuous supper, and dancing to music by Mrs. Harold West. Mr. Harry Schier presented a dressing table set amid warm words of affection and esteem from colleagues.
