A baby son of Inn and Hazel Hellman died suddenly at Mooroopna Hospital on Wednesday and was buried at Cobram Cemetery on Thursday afternoon. A note of condolence reads A bud in Heaven. Dam It. Dont Pray For Rain. Australia.

Cobram led late in the second term, with Vern Lawrence and Jack Buncle among contributors, but Jerilderie recovered to win 9 goals 6 behinds to 9 goals 5 behinds.
The Cobram club singles out Bert for the best and fairest award while Graham Downing receives the trophy for most games played. Controllers indicate some players missed two or three matches, and final trophy presentation awaits the grand final.
