Home Guard mock attack on bridges praised
Cr eam and Yarroweyah Home Guard platoons conducted a mock attack on the Citizen's and Bavnsge bridges guarded by Satcogs Platoon. McIntyre's men held strategic positions around both bridges, while attacking elements achieved objectives in broad daylight, teaching guerilla warfare tactics to members and boosting future parade attendance.

Obituary Mrs Margaret Weiss Dies at 76 in Muckatah District
The death occurred on Friday of Mrs Margaret Weiss relict of B Weiss aged 76. Eldest daughter of the late TM and Mrs J Guinan early Muckatah residents. In 1901 Mr and Mrs Weiss moved to Conam where the deceased elder spent her life. She was a member of the St Josephs Committee and supported the body. Burial at Cobra Cemetery with Rev Fr Ellis officiating. Survived by five sons and a daughter Henry Teresa Gordon John Cyril Adrian.
