John Furphy twenty from Barker's Avenue Shepparton died after his Austin porta roadster overturned twice at the Myer's Street entrance to the Shepparton showgrounds last Wednesday. He was pinned under the wheel while two young women escaped unharmed. Furphy survived the first overturn when bystanders freed him, but the car rested on him as it toppled again. He was taken to Mooroopna Hospital with minor injuries. witnesses noted the radiator core absorbed most of the impact.
