The Melbourne woolbrokers report the second series sales for 1950 51 held September 25 26 27 and October 2 show greasy wool averaging 114 34d per lb or 144 15 7 per bale on 303 68 lb per bale. This compares with 112 60d per lb and 146 0 4 per bale at the first series on September 11.

Tocumwal defeated Cobram by 231 runs on the Cobram oval in a two day game. Wilcox and Lees top scored for Tocumwal while McDougall bowled well for Tocumwal and Koopman for Cobram. Cobram without several players, Allan Jordan ill, new batsmen Marrett Cornish and Allen made twenties. President thanked Bryan Harding at tea. Tocumwal captain praised Cobram ladies for afternoon teas.
