Residents celebrate a homecoming at Pt Brown and report the 43rd Annual Cobram Forts Fund meeting. The Cobram and district branch of the NSW Agricultural Bureau is noted with attendance and discussions on the agricultural program.
On Wednesday night Cobram residents gather for a public welcome home for Private N. Brown at 8 15. A community singing session follows with Euchre and dancing from 9 15. Admission free for the welcome but Euchre and dance cost 1 6. Also reports of cattle at Deniliquin Show and local losses due to cold weather.
A Citrus Growers gathering at Esrooga decided to form a branch of the NSW Agricultural Bureau. Mr Benton gave a lecture on cultivation irrigation and soil fertility. P Rossiter was named President H Backhouse Secretary with membership set at 2/ for adults and 1/ for juniors. A Field Day is planned for November 12 at Quamby Grove and a Bureau meeting set for October 17 at the Grand Central Hotel.

The Cobras Cricket Club met Tuesday evening with W. Hughes presiding. A credit balance of £2 3s was reported. Officers elected: President W. Hughes. Vice-presidents Crozier and Bell. Committee Taylor, Ross, Hickey, Koopman. Delegates Crozier, Bell Fowles and Hughes. Secretary J. Fowles. A donation of £1 1s to the Comforts Fund was approved. Possible future picnic matches with neighboring clubs discussed amid talks of reform and reduced club numbers.
