Presidents Day Concludes Golf Season At Club
A warm Sunday finish capped a successful season as members held closing day events. Mixed foursomes over 12 holes attracted 22 pairs with a stroke handicap round for overflow players. K A Evans and Mrs R E Bourke won the mixed event with a net 141, Leighton Beast took the handicap title with 41 1/3. Trophies were donated by the president and Mrs Spence who hosted a meal, and prizes awarded for A B C grade championships and Wiltshire and Adams cups. The president noted the loss of Barooga Station paddock and efforts to replace it for an 18 hole course next season.
