Successful Koonoomoo picnic ends in jovial late night
Last Thursday a large gathering at Koonoomoo school grounds enjoyed a sunny afternoon despite early showers. Races and contests drew lively participation with prizes awarded in children, girls and boys categories as well as novelty events. An evening informal gathering featured song, story, music and games concluding with Auld Lang Syne at midnight.

The Cobram Cricket Club annual meeting at MrG Grant's office elected J M Taylor as President with R Jennings J Grant and G Grant as vice-presidents. Mrs H Scott reappointed secretary treasurer. A £12 10s 0d debit was reported and the club voted to affiliate with the Cobram Numurkah District Association. Membership set at 10s 6d, practice scheduled at the show ground next Saturday with expected strong turnout.
