The Church of England fete held at Mechanics Hall on Saturday September 28 featured many decorated stalls, refreshments, and a palais dance to Lupo's String Orchestra. Judges awarded numerous prizes including Live weight of a sheep and a draw for a car, while St Margarets Church funds were boosted by seventy seven pounds.

The death occurred suddenly at his residence on Friday morning of Mr Michael O Shaunessy Mick a popular and highly esteemed Barooga district resident aged 65 He came from Borramine in 1895 worked on Barooga Station later selecting the Barooga property where he resided The remains were interred in Berooge Cemetery on Saturday Rev Fr Galvin conducted the burial service Condolences extended to Mrs O Shannessy in her loss.
Timothy Carroll aged 74 died at Lisieux nospits after a short illness. An early Nerring East district settler from 1880, he was respected for stock judging and farming. The burial service was read by Rev Fr Kilis at Namurkah cemetery with many mourners. Survived by widow and three children Mary, John, Nellie. brothers John James Dennis and sister Mary Carroll.
