Parish announcements list services for Cobram and Napier areas with Advent Sunday Holy Communion and Sunday School times. Names include Colin G. Burgess, rector, and local churchs from Margaret's Cobram and Jeas Church Cobrant with dates referenced 1982 and 1952.
The RSL Auxiliary held its annual gathering on Thursday in November. Officers were elected: Mrs Sinclair president, Mrs Naw and Mrs Bourke assistants, with Mrs Le Amson as other key postholders. A future meeting is planned for December 20 and plans for events were discussed.
Cobram Mechanics Hall hosted a packed audience for St. Josephs school pupils concert featuring 160 children. Directed by Mr Stanley Meredith and Miss Fileen Murphy with Sisters of Mercy, the show included piano duets, choruses, drills, ballet, tumbling and pyramids. Fr J Doherty thanked parents and praised the pupils for their wholesome development and community contribution.
News from the Bandroom notes a Cobram group performing in gardens with new lighting, asking residents to donate instruments and funds. They promote upcoming shows before Christmas and a children's frolic at the Mechanics Hall on December 19, urging patronage and community assistance.
The report from the new play centre praises operations while urging donations for purchases. The carnival sub committee will coordinate with the scout committee on a Christmas and New Year program. New Australians invited to join voluntary training with the 38th Battalion at Cobram. Street numbers sought from homeowners and referred to Dr. Jordan. Last Saturday the Shepparton Maroons beat Cobram Blues. Cobram Golds lost to Echuca. Next Saturday Cobram clubs announce team selections for Blues and Golds with extensive Ladies and Emergency lineups. A social evening is planned December 2 at the showgrounds pavilion.
Finley defeated Yarroweyah by four runs on the first innings as the two day match concluded last Saturday. Finley 1st innings 178 with notable scores and bowling figures, Yarroweyah 174. Katamatite beat Strathmerton by 73 on Saturday with Katamatite 166 in their first innings and 8/50 in the second. Cobram and Katanga also featured strong batting on matting wickets with notable scores from Kerslake, Newman, and Davies.
November 29 to December features Cobram versus Katamatite, Strathmerton against Tocumwal, Barooga facing Yarroweyah, and Finley meeting Katunga in regional fixtures.
The Water Conservation and Irrigation Commission fixes water rights charges at 20/ and 15/ per acre foot for Wakool and related districts for the 1962 63 year. First availability in Wakool yields one third rates while delays yield two thirds. domestic stock use charges apply at 2d per acre for Wakool and 2d for new first time supplies in Berri quin and Denimein districts.

Hon G C Moss M L A represented Murray Valley since 1945 starting as a 32 year old. He served as acting Whip for the Country Party, secretary of the Parliamentary Country Party in 1947, then Minister of Agriculture and Mines and vice president of the Board of Land and Works after 1950. He is praised for detail, energy, and influence on wheat wool and stock feed policies, with wide national recognition.
The Mid-Murray Rural Fire Brigade group will receive a Mobile Fire Truck after approval from the Country Fire Authority. The handover is set for Wednesday December 10 at 2.15 pm. The Ladies' Guild fete at St George's Church of England Katamatite was a success. the year's proceeds are expected around £60 as a reward for the ladies.
