RSL Auxiliary Annual Meeting Review and Elections

Grand Performance By St. Josephs Pupils

Cobram Mechanics Hall hosted a packed audience for St. Josephs school pupils concert featuring 160 children. Directed by Mr Stanley Meredith and Miss Fileen Murphy with Sisters of Mercy, the show included piano duets, choruses, drills, ballet, tumbling and pyramids. Fr J Doherty thanked parents and praised the pupils for their wholesome development and community contribution.

Last Saturday the Shepparton Maroons beat Cobram Blues. Cobram Golds lost to Echuca. Next Saturday Cobram clubs announce team selections for Blues and Golds with extensive Ladies and Emergency lineups. A social evening is planned December 2 at the showgrounds pavilion.

Enlex Wins By Four On First Innings In Two Day Match

Finley defeated Yarroweyah by four runs on the first innings as the two day match concluded last Saturday. Finley 1st innings 178 with notable scores and bowling figures, Yarroweyah 174. Katamatite beat Strathmerton by 73 on Saturday with Katamatite 166 in their first innings and 8/50 in the second. Cobram and Katanga also featured strong batting on matting wickets with notable scores from Kerslake, Newman, and Davies.

Katamatite Fire Brigade To Receive Mobile Truck

The Mid-Murray Rural Fire Brigade group will receive a Mobile Fire Truck after approval from the Country Fire Authority. The handover is set for Wednesday December 10 at 2.15 pm. The Ladies' Guild fete at St George's Church of England Katamatite was a success. the year's proceeds are expected around £60 as a reward for the ladies.
