Mass Carmelo Romeo married Cobram native Carmelo Costa in St Marys Mooroopna. Eldest Romeo daughter and Costa son wed with 350 guests at a Mooroopna hall reception. Wedding featured elaborate lace gown, pearl coronet, orchids and azaleas. Honeymoon followed in Sydney with residence planned in Cobram.
Norma Dorothy Collie and Frank Strawhorn wed at Scots Church Cobram on October 2 in ice blue brocade gown. The Rev N R Scott officiated with organ by Miss N Gale. They celebrated at Shire Hall with pink orchids and a pink orchid pin for the groom’s mother. The couple will live in Numurkah after a Sydney honeymoon.
