Busy Scene At Showgrounds Improves Oval Area

At the showgrounds weekend work by about forty volunteers led by M Scott and W Quuck cleared and sowed grass for the oval. Trucks from Colic and Sullivan loaded turf while F Hayes M Scott and C F P Shier operated equipment. Rainfall will help root establishment and a seed sowing later will enhance the facility for sporting bodies and spectators. Additional tennis courts were planned with Cobram Club members contributing to site work led by Edgar and Muff on the shire grader.
