Ladies competition was won by Mrs. A. O'Brien with a net 68. A mixed foursomes event is planned for Sunday, entries via Mr. T. O'Reilly.
School resumes on Tuesday May 24 Empire Day. A brief address will be given at 245 p.m. and the mothers club will distribute sweets. Parents are invited to attend the celebration at the school.

A public meeting led by Dr. O Dwyer decided to hold a farewell social for Mr. and Mrs. P F Mannes on Saturday night May 21 at Mechanics Hall Cobram. Mr Mannes, head teacher at Cobram State School, has been promoted to Warracknabeal and takes up duty May 25.
Crs O Dwyer and Stokes moved at the shire council meeting that the Cobram RSL branch be informed a women and children rest room was rented at Cobram hall and available for some time. Very little use has been made of the facilities, and the council is considering cancellation of the arrangement.
A meeting in Cobram Blo ue Hall is planned to form a Tomato Growers Association with lead members from regional districts attending. The session aims to outline aims, organize the group, and advise growers on forming a local association to benefit tomato producers.
