Tocumwal pupil Mim Val Johnson won the Tintern grammar school running championship and placed third in the open 100 yards at combined school sports. Mr and Mrs E C Eddy plan to move to Melbourne around May 12, having spent most of their lives in Tocumwal. The Tocumwal Progress Association urged the Shire Council to subdivide the riding so Tocumwal and Finley have separate representation, proposing a two riding, two councillor setup for equal citywide balance.
At the Yarrawonga Police Court William Aitchison butcher Yarrawonga was fined £10 for dangerous driving. John Brear was fined 10 shillings for riding a bicycle on the footpath. Edward D Hicks was fined 16 shillings for driving a motor car without a license and an unregistered car. Albert Stewart was fined 10 shillings.
