Death of Mr George Keith at Mulwala
The death occurred in his sleep on Wednesday of last week of Mr George Keith of Mulwala. The deceased, who had been severely rashed at the War, was a brother of Mrs W. H. Patterson of Cobram. Irvine Harris, youngest son of Mr and Mrs T. N. Harris, broke his arm falling from a pony on Sunday. Rev and Mrs guest were guests of the Cobram Methodist Church district as they received a wallet of notes on Friday. Mrs Brown wife of Fr Brown and Miss Allison were injured in a motor accident on Saturday morning while driving along a detour. Mrs Brown fractured her jaw and chest bone with abrasions, Miss Allison cut and bruised. Both were taken to Lisieu hospital by Mr A. Hocking.

Barooga Referendum Speech Planned for May 10

Cobram News: Absent Farmer Returns with Arm Injury
Cobram reports Mr J Haurahan returns to his farm after a week away with a broken arm. A large volume of gravel is hauled daily from J Langan’s property for road surface work on the Cobram Yarrawongs road three miles from Cobram. A second gravel pit is opened on E Johnson’s property by Mr Jackson, with gravel found at about eight feet depth. Several farmers express envy over the progress.

Council weighs reactivating idle trucks and road plant
