Burramine and Cobram clubs played weekend tennis with multiple doubles and singles results across divisions. Final scores show Burramine leading 86 to 79 in sets, Cobram securing a 10 to 5 win in a Wednesday return match, and a club meeting electing joint secretaries while presenting President Hindson a silver collar box on his departure for advancement in the city.
The Hon. J. J. Carliste M.L.A. receives notice from the secretary of the Department of Public Works that a tender for repairs to Murray River Bridge Cobrem has been accepted. The successful tenderers are Messrs Sly and Dornom.
The Cobram Agricultural Society held its annual meeting in the Nice Hall with officers named including P. McCormack and J. O Dwyer. A balance sheet showed funds rising to £171 14s 1d, but unpaid subscriptions of £74 15s remain, prompting calls for collection and tighter accounting.
The Mooroopna Hospital board asks readers in Gouibur n Valley and Riverina to renew annual subscriptions for the year ending June 30 next. Fifty years of operation have seen 35 355 indoor treatments, with 129 admissions from July 1 1925 to March 25 1927. February 1927 daily average beds was 121. costs now run about £7508 monthly. The board relies on community generosity to meet obligations by Jubilee Year end. Also notice a farm sale by James Lee of 4% acres with 130 acres fallow, to be offered by McNamara & Co on April 6. Lee will quit farming. whole farm equipment to be sold without reserve.

The Cobran rural society crop contest records show yields, methods, and weather impacts, citing Mr. Wallace of Cugarie NSW as a winner with about 24 bushels per acre on a competition crop and detailing ploughing and cultivation steps used to prepare the land for harvest.
