Fire Brigade Dinner Honors Ballarat Demonstrations

On Monday evening the local Fire Brigade gathered at the Royal Victoria Hotel hosted by Mr J. Mc I Wabb. Fourteen firemen attended as honored guests while Mr J. Martindale chaired the event and a presentation of xylonite brushes was given to Mr H Wilson. The hosts were praised for generosity and support from Mr Geo Le Amson in converting a motor car into a fire wagon.

Mooroopna Hospital Jubilee Appeal Seeks Renewed Support

The Mooroopna Hospital board asks readers in Gouibur n Valley and Riverina to renew annual subscriptions for the year ending June 30 next. Fifty years of operation have seen 35 355 indoor treatments, with 129 admissions from July 1 1925 to March 25 1927. February 1927 daily average beds was 121. costs now run about £7508 monthly. The board relies on community generosity to meet obligations by Jubilee Year end. Also notice a farm sale by James Lee of 4% acres with 130 acres fallow, to be offered by McNamara & Co on April 6. Lee will quit farming. whole farm equipment to be sold without reserve.
