Sudden death at Cloverlea Darnum on March 18 of James Love aged 79. He was the husband of Ellen Emily and father of William Benalla James Darnum Mary Mrs Len Gray Cobram East John Mepunga East Dick Nulla Warre Anne Mrs Whitehead Willatook and Florence Ascot Vale. Funeral details not listed.

Tocumwal declared at 8 for 452 in their innings and Finley were 6 for 376 in reply. Ellis Thornton opening batsman for the Successful country week team remained not out on 156 as the match stood.
The Cobram Football Club committee met with former Carlton and Preston player Frank Anderson who will coach Cobram this season. Training begins Tuesday afternoon with Anderson in attendance at 4:30 pm. Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, plus a practice match.
