Delightful House Party Aids St Josephs Funds

In Mechanics Hall last Monday fifty people watched technical films presented by R. P. Dugdale and A. C. Willyan of the Water Commission Plant School. Dugdale spoke on plant size over £1 million and the Mobile Plant School ensuring proper servicing and best use of earth moving equipment. The films covered tractor servicing, welding, gear evolution, and differential principles, with thanks offered to Mrs. Dugdale and Willyan. the Young Farmers Club attended.

The Melbourne woolbrokers report for the ninth series of wool sales in 1950 51 shows greasy wool averaged 207 92d per lb or 255 16 7 per bale at 295 30 lbs per bale, compared with prior series. The Geelong Woolbrokers Association notes the seventh series in 1950 51 had greasy wool at 285 15d per lb or 222 BL/12/8 per bale, average weight 288 lbs.
