The Melbourne woolbrokers report for the ninth series of wool sales in 1950 51 shows greasy wool averaged 207 92d per lb or 255 16 7 per bale at 295 30 lbs per bale, compared with prior series. The Geelong Woolbrokers Association notes the seventh series in 1950 51 had greasy wool at 285 15d per lb or 222 BL/12/8 per bale, average weight 288 lbs.
Wangaratta invites former residents to a Back-to event starting Friday March 23 with a sacred concert. Easter Sunday program opens with a massed bands recital officiated by Mr W D Bostock MHR.
