Arthur George Mort died at Melbourne Hospital on 11 March at age til years. A watchmaker by trade in Cobram for fifteen months he was well liked by locals especially youths. A Tasmanian Anzac with 43 years service, he had been ill for some time. A Christmas visit to Melbourne preceded two surgeries. He leaves a widow and children Desiree Route Norman Keith Arnold Hazel and Lorna. Interment was at Spring Vale Cemetery last Friday.
