The 14 management seats go to 11 provisional committee members led by H S A ex. Voting results list 25 candidates with counts from 274 for Mead to 89 for Mrs. Jones and 7 informal votes.
Katamatite won the pen nant tennis match against Muckatah by nine sets to four at Katamatite. Men's doubles results included Payne Clarke and Kennedy-Woods defeating Watt Nancarrow and Kennedy-Woods 9 5. others listed. Ladies doubles saw Ford Learmonth and Gillespie Bourke win over Watt Nancarrow and Ennals Watt, plus Kennedy-Nancarrow matches.
John Cheesley aged seven wandered from his parents camp on the Broken River Thursday night last week. Police and volunteers found him late Friday near Shepparton after he spent the night in a deserted hut five miles from his home. A policewoman took charge of the three Cheesley children and they were taken to Melbourne.
