At Cobram Court of Petty Sessions on Wednesday before Mr G Catlow illegal use of a motor truck led to Athol Barton’s one month imprisonment suspended on good behavior bond for two years while Harold Gluyas’s case was adjourned for 26 weeks under probation supervision. A negligent driving charge involving an Air Force truck resulted in a £10 fine and disqualification for three years after a fatal collision with a dray. Joseph O Kane faced assault and indecent language charges with the case deferred up to 26 weeks on a good behavior bond. Robert Doherty was convicted of driving an unregistered car without a licence with a 10 shilling fine and distress default.
