A Cobram Agricultural Society committee gathering at the Mechanics Institute saw president T N Harris and members discuss sanitary charges by the Shire of Tungawah, deeming costs excessive, and appoint delegates to the Goulburn Valley Agricultural Associations. Proposals included changing burning periods and rescheduling meetings with a special attendees plan.
Residents and well wishers bid farewell to Mr C Mansell head teacher of Koonoomoo State School as he transfers to Line Lodge North. The gathering included songs recitations and a presentation of gifts before a dancing reception.

W Adams asked about freight concessions for stores and motor freighters with Railways and concessions. Mr Clapp said the department offered no concession. A R Wadeson asked that Mr H Noy, who nears retirement, be allowed to continue as stationmaster at Cobram.
The Numurkah Fire Brigade secured an easy win at Yarro Wehah on Sourday. Key performances included K. Crozier lbw by Crawley and J Brice with Gibbs dismissed by Ward. H Patterson remained not out and E Nichol fell to Crawley while others contributed runs and wickets in a dominant showing.
