Personal notes from Cobram and Bright community
A former Cobram resident visited the town this week. R Johnson of the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission has recovered enough to walk with crutches after a severe cut on his right foot. Geoff Tweddie injured his right arm with an axe at the Cobran Presbyterian Manse working bee. Before leaving Bright for Yal Journ the Bright banks staff gave K Loudon a present. Mrs Loudon, secretary of the golf associates, was entertained by that body. Mr and Mrs Loudon are former Cobram residents. Before he leaves for Cobram, H E Harding district engineer of the Rochester branch of the commission and Mrs Harding were farewelled by the Rochester Methodist Church and given a polished oak hall table. The Sunday school club presented Mrs Harding with a crystal vase. Commission employees gave Harding a wrist watch. The golf club presented an electric clock from the Rochester Advisory Board.
