At Mooroopna Hospital on Thursday a man named John Sibley died after bronchial pneumonia. He had lived in Cobram two years and worked on Mr Ruwdlt's Yerramundie Estate. Interred in Shepparton cemetery with a large funeral attendance. He leaves a widow and four children.

Hume Ray, second youngest son of Mr and Mrs W Shadforth of Cobram, died at Mooroopna Hospital after leg surgery for septic poisoning. He was six years old, had been ill a week, and after operations on Wednesday and Monday, he passed away. A large cortege accompanied the body to Cobram cemetery for a graveside service by Rev R Bruce-Ball. The community extends heartfelt sympathy to the family.
A large gathering at the Cillewe Levings bid farewell to Mr Joe Kennedy on Friday evening. Speakers from Muckatah Football Club praised his long friendship and sportsmanship, and Mr Levings thanked all for their support. The event featured songs, recitations, and close with Auld Lang Syne.
Cobram Tepsis Club members met Friday night to review Xmas tournament finances and approve payments. A transfer of 40 pounds from the tournament to club account was agreed, and a committee was formed to liaise with recreation reserve groups on grass courts. The club also planned letters to trustees and thanked Miss Morris for her service as a leadership change was noted.
