Obituary of Daniel Kennedy Pioneer Resident of Muckatah

In mourning, Daniel Kennedy, a 77 year old pioneer of the Muckatah district, died at Moorooppa Hospital after a period of illness. Early settler since the seventies, he was laid to rest in Cobram cemetery with Roman Catholic rites by Rev. Father Ellis. He leaves three sons and six daughters.

District News on Broken Creek Water and Fish Die-off

Reported fish kill in Broken Creek drew concern over township water quality as odor from mains surfaced. Council patrols searched miles of stream above and below town and collected over 200 dead fish, mainly Red Fins. Floodwaters subsided and the creek cleared, restoring water conditions at the mains.
