Kilpatrick firm partner Ko Kipayick Gnan moves to Shepparton for expansion. The Shynner Minstrels announce charity show proceeds for Cobram Fire Brigade with tickets on sale. Clergyman Rev James Patrick McCray of Newarkab leaves estate to relatives, with sale proceeds supporting a Strath penton Roman Catholic church. Maloney of Strathm has progressed in Sacred Heart College Shepparton and Cobram St Josephs school, with notable academic and musical achievements.

St Josephs School staged the Romantic and Humorous Opera The King of Kandy at St Josephs Hall Cobram on Friday night December 16. Past and present pupils impressed a huge audience with strong performances from Tom Stillard Mary Mathers Mary Lonergan and Kitty Bourke. The second act featured tea-pickers and a彩 ensemble of eight girls in pink blue and mauve. Special praise for Des Bourke and Emmie Nanrahav with Miss Iris Maloney accompanying.

A Case engine driven threshing unit impressed farmers near Donald on the 12th with 12 1/2 acres threshed in 74 strokes. Despite a 6 acre area and12%2 circuits, the yield reached 10 bags, proving efficiency beyond expectations. The machine, praised by witnesses, is distributed by Victorian Producers' Co op Ltd with M D O'Dwyer as local agent.
At the recent examinations Cobram State School lists top performers including Osa Jackson with 130, Thelamour 14.2, Thelma McClusee 13.8, and Harry Ratcliffe 14.0. Qualifying certificates were awarded to Henry Atkins, Henry Butt 14, Elina Hart 04, Gladys McFarlane 010, Lire Srout 1010, Marjorie Harris, Nola Tuck 10,0.
The Muckatah Turf Club met at the racecourse buildings on Saturday evening with good attendance. The chair paid tribute to two deceased residents, Mrs Nunan and Mrs Wilson, and letters of condolence were approved. The report showed a £42 profit for the year and the next annual race meeting was set for February 11 with trials and several races listed. P Parnell was elected president and Jos Kennedy was named secretary.
