Friday evening a seven year old girl sustained a severe wound to the right arm after falling on a barred wire while climbing a fence. Dr Kennedy treated the wound with several stitches. Former Cobram residents Mr and Mrs A W de at are holidaying in town. Eddie, long-time teller at the Cobram National Bank branch, was popular and succeeded by Mr K Car Michael. Mr R J O Malloe, once assistant postmaster, transferred to Kyabram to resume duties. Ray, a obliging official, was farewelled by a large circle of friends and presented with a suitcase. His successors are Mr A O'Brien of Kyabram and Mr W L Moss, standing for the United Country Party and on the Central Council of the UCP, also vice-president of the Win growers' Association. Moss, a returned soldier, is active in farming and campaign. Moss will publish policy in Cobram materials as the electorate conversation continues.

The Strathmerton Dramatic Company performed The Lady of the Fog at Mechanic Institute Cobram to aid Mesropoa Hoapits and St Margaret's Church.
