The column reflections cover Armistice Day crowds near St Paul’s Cathedral poking fun at the Lord Mayor and a long critique of Melbourne’s evolving skyline. It notes many world architectural influences from the Law Courts dome to Saracenic and Gothic forms, then shifts to social notes on Miller’s Corner crowds and coupon politics affecting daily life and a boastful shop employee who thrives on rationed goods.
