A Cobram auction note lists 1000 sheep and 20 mixed cattle entered for a monthly sale. Sheep are Border Leicester Romney and Corriedale cross breeds, mostly ewes with good milking and growth. Further entries are encouraged as war-time demands grow.
A proposal by the Deniliquin Progress Association asked Mr J Langtry HR to contract a railway from Deniliquin to Jerilderie as an alternative northern route. Langtry approved the idea and urged a map be prepared and sent to the Allied Works Council for consideration.
At a Victorian Union branch meeting MLA Mr J. G. B. McDonald attended to hear teachers push for an independent tribunal. President Mr Cook cited poor conditions and equipment harming pupils and urged higher funding for better education. The meeting backed pursuing independent arbitration and asked political parties to discuss the tribunal's establishment and policy.
Archbishop Mannix issues a statement explaining that Australia has no general dispensation from Friday abstinence. He notes Sydney and Melbourne bishops differ on local practice and that confessors may grant exceptions. The diocese is not issuing a broad waiver during the war.

At a Wednesday meeting on 19 f6 eleven irrigators attended the session to elect an Advisory Board. R McDowell acted as district engineer and J Harding, former district engineer, attended. The board will have seven members with representation kept flexible. Seven candidates were nominated and declared elected including Tissiusera G. Moss nominated by A. Gemmell.
