Campbell and Co announce a Katmitite stock sale on Monday August 25 with clearances of creek term plant and furniture from Mr J A Bowen. A public meeting near Broogs NSW convenes August 30 to discuss school expansion and railway work while Cobram Mechanics Institute hosts a charity concert featuring Melbourne musicians and Miss Euleemus Webbe to aid the Methodist Church.
A Cobram Deed Society committee met at the Mechanics Institute on Thursday evening led by President Mr J McCormack. Members discussed show prizes, expenses, poultry judging plans and potential trophies, with decisions to hold the show and adjust prize levels and fees.
A Cobram columnist replies to Mr Mills denying council support for gratuities or extra ratepayer costs. He notes gratuities were discussed before ratepayer concerns rose and says council examined finances, with savings found and contracts limited to sanitary, street lighting and cleaning.

Cobram and Strathmerton played a tight Strathmerton win by goals and behinds after a rugged match at Strathmerton oval. O'Brien and Bourke starred for Cobram while Tuck and Hamilton held back Strathmerton's attack. Shepparton Imperial defeated Wangaroo and Nathalia edged Numurkah in other notable fixtures.
