Death of Michael Dunn A Cobram district benefactor remembered
Michael Dunn of Cobram district died at 63 after a life of quiet public service and private generosity. A former farmer with his brother Phil, he supported the Agricultural Society and church foundations, helped many local causes, and was known for his cheerful, concise nature and unostentatious benevolence. He came to the district in 1895 from Byrneside and lived at Cobram East before moving to Yarroweyah South and Cobram, retiring to Essendon. He married Heffernan in 1902. He is mourned by his widow, brother Phil, and many friends who recall a truly worthy man.
