Robbery at Tocumweeney Railway Stores Recounts Theft

Late Thursday night or early Friday morning thieves stole tobacco and cigarettes valued at £22 6s from Mr J Flanagan's Railway store Tocumween. The entry appears to have been made from inside the shop before doors were locked. A tobacco cartton and the cash bag were retrieved near the river and from a cottage rear, linking the theft to the site.

Fire Brigade Ball Captivates Corram Brigade Members

The Corram Fire Brigade annual ball last Wednesday drew about 100 couples dancing to Gervasoni's Orchestra on a well decorated hall. Streamers adorned walls and stage with the brigade motto Ever Ready Ever Willing Day and Night printed prominently. Supper by ladies satisfied all and extras during interval were played by a small orchestra.
