A.M. Winchester thanks Cobram and surrounding district for 26 years of support as 1 820 000 loaves have been delivered. The firm will dispose of bread delivery rounds from January 1 1924 but will continue to supply Peerless Full-weight Pure Bread at Pant-read Cobrat premises.
Large Easter Monday gathering at Barooga recreation reserve watched numerous events overseen by Mr President B Quinine and Secretary T Dunsher with many committee members assisting. Tocumwal Bays aided entertainment as funds from a raffle will support church efforts. event results include various racing and athletic tests won by named locals.
On Tuesday March 4 at Barooga R C Church Rev Father Reilly united James B A Hicks and Kathleen A Lally in marriage. Hicks is the second son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Hicks of Pine View Mulwala. Lally is the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J Latty of Boomanoomana. The ceremony was followed by Nuptial Mass and a large gathering of relatives and friends. The bride wore a blue robe of ivory crepe de chine with georgette sleeves, a satin char gown, orange blossom coronet, and white bridal bouquet. Bridesmaids were Miss Alice Hicks and Miss Vera Hicks, with Miss Dorothy Nolam as flower bearer. Best man was Mr R A Latty and groomsman Mr Thos J Hicks.
