Mrs Day retained the ladies title at the Tennis Club Clay championships while Harry Shier won the men’s event. J Day and Don Janetzki claimed minor titles as finals and semi finals determined winners. Trophies were presented by club vice president Jack Bowles after the event.
The Anzac Centenary Jubilee Train will open to the public at 2 pm on Anzac Day after ex servicemen join the march at Cobra. Ten exhibition carriages will host state and federal department displays plus art and historical exhibits with rare works. A concert, fluorescent lighting, and guided viewing will accompany the tour for about 1000 attendees.
