Australia to send full delegation to San Francisco UN conference
United Australia outlines its highly representative panel for the San Francisco UN conference this month. Date fixed for Cobram Agricultural Society meeting
The Cobram Agricultural Society held a well attended annual meeting on Tuesday night. Retiring president Mr H Roe reflected on five years in office and noted improved finances since 1939. overdraft stood at £398 1 10 and the crockery account was £36 5 4 in credit. Roe declined another term. Nominees for president, including M D O'D, S Collie, J C Fairley, P R and J Gemmell, did not take office. J Gemmell offered to serve as president in 1945 if needed, others accepted various roles. J C Fairley became senior vice president, Stillard junior vice president. P McCormack was reelected treasurer. Committee expanded to 30 with names listed. Minutes of past-president Gemmell’s five years were carried by acclamation. The date for the 1945 Shaw show was fixed as March.
