The Melbourne woolbrokers report the tenth series held March 17–20 1952 averaged 54.684d per lb or 268 per bale with 298.46 lb bale weight, compared with the ninth series. Due to extreme shipping conditions payment for wool bought at auction is extended from 21 to 45 days, with growers to be paid April 21–24. Geelong reports the seventh series held March 11–13 1952 averaged 66.18d per lb or £61/9/5 per bale with 295 lb average bale weight.
Katamatite defeated Finley in a three day final at Barooga to claim the Scott Cup. Openers K Cathie 112 and W Fisher 69 led a 164 run opening stand, aided by R Barnes 29 and team total 289. Mulquiney 3/22 and Bennet 8/26 took bowling honors. The win secures a remarkable recovery after doubts about Katamatite fielding a side.
