Charge of attempted rape and indecent assault in railway carriage
In Cloncurry on October 1944 Reginald Kerr faced charges of unlawfully and indecently assaulting Judith Ann Marshall and Minnie Marshall while aboard a train between Cloncurry and Malbon. Evidence described clothing stains and Kerr’s conduct including attempted removal of clothing and touching. Kerr pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded for Supreme Court sentencing in Townsville on November 6.
