The Advocate acts as local agent for a rubber stamp and brass plate firm. Rubber stamps of any design can be provided on short notice. A linen marking outfit with stamp pad and ink bottle in a compact case is offered, suited for households sending laundry out.
The St Patrick's Day meeting at Cloncurry drew fair attendance with country visitors and locals. Wolstra known as "The Ajax of the West" won the Exiles Farewell Handicap in 50 seconds, while Paddy K led most of the way in the Kerry Flying Randto. The day featured multiple races, scratches, and strong betting, with a large turnout and many locals and visitors noting the improved conditions for future meetings.
The Bio Hall hosted the St Patrick's Day celebration committee annual ball on Friday night with festive decor and novelty dances. Mrs D A rcy and many ladies wore colorful gowns including georgette, satin, and crepe de chine with vivid trims, while Mr F Jenkins served as MC and a substantial supper was provided.
