The Court of Petty Sessions for Cloncurry bounds imposes a one year ban on selling liquor to Alan Richard Clyde Dempsey due to dangerous drinking patterns harming his health and family peace. Stipendiary Magistrate D J Kearney signs this August 17 1948 order in Cloncurry Queensland.
The 93 year old Teressa MacNamara died in Cloncurry on Saturday 4 August. She lived with daughter-in-law Mrs Owen MacNamara in Gregory Street since July last year. A pioneer of Queensland she was famed for horsemanship and left over sixty descendants from thirteen children. Funeral conducted by Father Brill.
