Julia Creek defeated Cloncurry 27 to 6 in rugby with a halftime 6 to 2 lead before Cloncurry suffered four injuries. Cloncurry’s basketball team lost 12 to 4 after a heated finish. The day included social events, singing, and a planned Mount Isa excursion on August 11 1946 with three Cloncurry teams.
