The next theological examination will begin on Tuesday October 3 1871. The Vice Chancellor presides at a Congregation where prize exercises are to be heard June 13. Decrees conferred include Masters of Arts and Masters of Laws with names from Trinity St Johns Clare Corpus Christi and Emmanuel. The June 8 MB Final examined by H J H Bond Regins Paget Liveing with approvals by Clarke and Evans.
The Bankruptcy Disqualification Bill disqualifies from sitting or voting any peer who becomes bankrupt or whose affairs are settled by arrangement. A writ of summons cannot be issued to a disqualified peer until annulment or discharge. The measure covers current and future bankrupt peers who later inherit a peerage.
